SCHOOLS
There were five one and two room schools located in various parts of the township. All of the schools were named for presidents. Some of these schools provided living space for the teachers. When the Jackson Project was completed a new school was built and it housed all the students in the township. The Hermantown Historical Society has collected much information and memorabilia from the schools and is planning on publishing a book just on the schools.
