Our Mission Statement
The Mission of the Hermantown Historical Society shall be the collection, preservation, and dissemination of knowledge about the history of Hermantown.
In addition to collecting and preserving objects of material culture and historical research materials, the Society shall maintain and operate a museum/historical research center adequate to serve the area of Hermantown.
The objectives of the society shall be:
- To discover and collect any material which may help establish or illustrate the heritage and history of Hermantown and surrounding areas, including, but not limited to , its exploration, settlement, developement and progress.
- To provide for the preservation of such material for its accessability, as far as may be feasible, for all who wish to examine or study it; to cooperate with public officials in ensuring the preservation and accessability of the records and archives of the community.
